Dr. Marcus Williams

Dr. Marcus Williams is a Research Meteorologist with the USDA Forest Service in Athens, Georgia. His research interests focus on forest disturbances, land-atmosphere interactions, and regional climate modeling using numerical weather prediction techniques. He is an advocate for increasing diversity within the federal research arena and pursuing equitable practices that perpetuate the development of underrepresented professionals in the weather, water, and climate enterprise. Dr. Williams holds a B.S. and M.S. in Meteorology from Florida State University and a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Georgia. He is a native of Tallahassee, FL.
