What is the difference between Virtual Desktop, directly batching a job, and Rstudio server via OnDemand? Does they share the same user Environment?Would you mind share more details of annual application of data storage?Thank you.
Paul Van Der Mark
39:50
The difference between batch and virtual desktop is that the VDI runs interactive, while the batch runs non-interactive in the background. Therefore there is no interaction between the batch job, but in the virtual desktop you interact with the applications in that environment.

You don't need to run a complete desktop in open ondemand, you can also run a single application like Rstudio

Virtual Desktop is a generic name, we use Open OnDemand to provide that service.

You mentioned the intention of developing GPU offering. Could you provide more detail(s)? Is it "simply" increasing the number of GPU nodes available or does it include new ways to use them?
