How does registration work for group presenters?

If more than one party from our research group are participating in presenting, can we pay separately, or is it considered a group payment by default?

If the school is paying for you, will you get an email if there are problems with the payment?

As first time presenters we are applying for the waiver.

I conducted research at Valencia but now attend UCF so I put UCF on my registration. Are they still able to pay my registration fee?

We are not grading or awarding prizes to projects, the conference is a celebration rather than a competition :)

The video should be 2-3 minutes in the format of an "elevator pitch" discussing and introducing your project in general terms appropriate for a multidisciplinary audience

If someone wants to make their poster board from scratch, draw.io might work even though poster boards isn't it's intended use

If printing out the poster works better for you that is all good, but it's also fine to have the poster on screen with overlaid audio or video, such as the split screen option with Zoom!

Also, will we have “contact cards” or links to exchange info with other members or attendees?

The presentations will not be divided into specific groups, the assignment of each poster session is random !

Yes, there will be sections on your Whova profile where you can fill in your information, including social media and contact info!

Yes, I believe the workshops will also be available !

Currently there is no designated group facebook for FURC 2021, but we have a public facebook for FURC that we encourage you to follow!

Additionally, Whova has a number of social capabilities, so attendees can create their own meeting rooms and talk with each other further!

Should we avoid turning the poster into a “copy and paste” of manuscript? Are their data requirements we should include (like participant demographic data/participant count/statistical analysis methods, etc.?

There are not specific data requirements, but we recommend following the recommendations from your abstract reviewer and your specific field's standards. Since this conference welcomes research in all stages of completion, if you do not currently have results or specific data related to that, it's okay!
